Jeffrey Anderson

Jeffrey Anderson, MD PhD, studied abstract mathematics and neuroscience at Northwestern University before completing residency and fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Utah. Dr. Anderson is a Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, and Director of Functional Imaging at the University of Utah. He is author of 3 national bestselling science thrillers, Sleeper Cell, Second Genesis, and Implant, as well as a text on the functional anatomy of the brain: Specialty Imaging: Functional MRI. Sleeper Cell was nominated for an International Thriller Award. His research on the network organization of the brain and human connectome has been published in Science, Nature Neuroscience, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He is currently conducting a study on how cannabinoids affect brain function using MRI and molecular imaging of the brain.
